CoverItLive Session #3

Posted in Benedikt K.'s Entries, Beth A.'s Entries, Chapter 9, CoverItLive sessions, Deron M.'s Entries, Gabriella B.'s Entries on November 18, 2009 by Benedikt K

We finally managed to get all four contributors into one CoverItLive session!

We had tried this process twice before, here and here, but neither of those had all four of us in them.

So, here is our full-team CoverItLive session where we talk about:

  • the morals mentioned by the dutchess in chapter 9
  • the puns and references made by Carroll, in particular to math and victorian society
  • what values Carroll tried to embed in his readers, especially Alice

Love to hear what you thought about our conversation.

CoverItLive Session #2

Posted in Benedikt K.'s Entries, CoverItLive sessions, Deron M.'s Entries on November 1, 2009 by Benedikt K

This is our second ‘chat’ session using CoverItLive.

If you’d like to see what we discussed the first time we tried this ‘live blogging’ tool, go here.

A couple of things about today’s talk:

  • We talked about our interpretations of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland , in particular about the class references and symbolism Carroll uses.
  • Note: Please notice that Elizabeth and Gabriella apparently couldn’t make the session, presumably because I didn’t send out invites way ahead of time as I had prior to Friday’s session.

Other than that, if you skipped to the end because we only had two people, you are definitely missing out.

First CoverItLive Chat Session

Posted in Benedikt K.'s Entries, Chapter 1, CoverItLive sessions, Deron M.'s Entries, Gabriella B.'s Entries on October 31, 2009 by Benedikt K

So, our group just held our first CoverItLive chat session.  Feel free to check it out: Alice Project #9 10/30/09

  • We talked about our interpretations of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and what Carroll attempted to create with this novel.
  • We also addressed some views we have on blogs and on layout. Feedback is appreciated greatly, be it to the ideas or the layout of the site.
  • Note:  Please notice that Elizabeth could’t be here today since she had field hockey practice.

Other than that, if you skipped to the end because you got bored reading what we wrote, you are definitely missing out.
